Fifty Shades of Rubbish
I would just like to put it out there that if I had Fifty Shades of Grey author E. L. James in any of my composition courses, she would maybe squeak by with a C-.
People, we need to stop reading trash! Just because it becomes a "Best Seller" (which only really means that the publisher managed to pre-sell X amount of books to major retailers like Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble), Oprah likes it, Dr. Oz likes it, or a friend read it and "like, totally LOOOOOVED" it does NOT mean it is worth the time it takes to suffer through it!
Perhaps the moral of this story is that we need better erotica authors, although I tend to think that it's really just that the book industry is going to pot and publishing idiots.
